Veg Zingy Parcel or Dominos Zingy Parcel is a triangular shaped parcel filled with stuffing prepared from various Veggies, Paneer Cubes, Cheese, Mayonnaise, Mixed Herbs, etc. Veg Zingy Parcel is soft and crispy from outside and soft and juicy from inside. The food is originally invented by Dominos so its commonly known as Dominos Veg Zingy Parcel. There are various other names given to this food such as Veg Zingy Parcel or Zingy Parcel or Veg Parcel or Paneer Zingy Parcel. You can refer it with any of the above names.

Veg Zingy Parcel is one of my favourite dish which is a must have food item in my menu whenever I visit Dominos restaurant or order it online. The first time that I came to know about this Zingy Parcel was when I was ordering Pizza through Dominos app. It was then that I saw this item named Zingy Parcel in the menu which was very cheap. The name itself made me very curious to taste it as zingy sounded somewhat like tangy to me, and since I am totally in love with the tangy flavour. It was the first time I was having this Veg Parcel. The taste was so awesome that next day I ordered it again. Since then it has become a must have fast food item in my menu.

The delicious taste of this Veg Zingy Parcel prompted me to prepare it at home since ordering it online regularly was too expensive. So I visited several websites to know its recipe and found it to be super easy. Without wasting time I gave it a try at my place in my very own kitchen, and my first attempt came out to be perfect. I got out with a perfect piece of Veg Zingy Parcel which had exactly the same taste, same flavour and same aroma.

Here are few tips and tricks that you must follow to prepare this tasty Veg Zingy Parcel:

  1. To activate the Dry Yeast, use luke warm water or milk. The water should not be too hot or else the yeast might not get activated. Also use of cold water will also not activate the yeast.
  2. We first add Sugar to the water or milk and then add the dry yeast to activate the yeast. Sugar acts as a catalyst which helps in activating the yeast. To activate the yeast leave the mixture for about 15 minutes. You will see that froths and bubbles are formed which indicates that the yeast has been activated. If there is no formation of froths, then it means that the yeast has not been activated. Do not use this and try for other brand of yeast.
  3. To prepare soft Zingy Parcel, knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes and then allow it to rest for about 1 hour for fermentation.
  4. While stuffing the fillings in the parcel, add the fillings in such quantity so that it does not spill out on baking. Do not overload it.
  5. To bake the Veg Zingy Parcel, preheat the baking setup of kadai or microwave oven for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes keep the parcel in the baking set up and bake for about 15-20 minutes.

There are different types of Zingy Parcel that we can prepare at home such as Veg Zingy Parcel, Paneer Zingy Parcel, Non-Veg Parcel, etc. Today I am going to share Veg Zingy Parcel where I will be using veggies such as Capsicum, Sweetcorn, Onion and Tomato along with Paneer, Mayonnaise, Tomato Ketchup and Herbs. I willl share the recipe of Paneer Zingy Parcel in my other post where we will skip the use of veggies and use only Paneer cubes. Veg Zingy Parcel is served as a starter or appetizer. Preparation of Zingy Parcel is similar to Stuffed Garlic Bread and Cheese Garlic Bread. The only difference is in the way of giving shape and preparation of stuffing.

Lets start preparing Veg Zingy Parcel using different types of veggies as fillings. First let us activate the Yeast. Take Warm Water or Warm Milk and add 1 teaspoon Sugar into it. Stir to dissolve the Sugar. Next add Yeast and stir it properly. Cover the Yeast and allow it to rest for about 10-15 minutes so that it gets activated. In 10-15 minutes , the yeast gets activated with the formation froths and bubbles. If there are no formation of froths then it means that the yeast has not been activated. Do not use it and try for another brand of yeast.

Now take All Purpose Flour in a large bowl. Add Garlic Powder, Oregano, Chilli Flakes, Mixed Herbs and Salt. Mix all the ingredients properly. Add the activated yeast to the mixture and knead the flour to prepare soft dough. Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes. If required you can add extra amount of water. After kneading for about 10-15 minutes, add Oil and knead further for few minutes more. Roll the dough into a ball, cover it with cloth and allow it rest for about an hour.

Till the time dough is resting, let’s prepare the fillings for Veg Zingy Parcel. Heat Oil in a kadai or pan. Add Chopped Garlic and saute for few seconds. Then add Chopped Onion and cook till it turns light golden in colour. As soon as it turns light golden in colour, add Chopped Tomato and Salt. Cook till the tomatoes become soft and mushy. Now add Red Chilli Powder, Chopped Capsicum, Sweet Corn, Oregano, Mixed Herbs, Tomato Ketchup and Mayonnaise. Mix and cook for few minutes. At last add Fresh Paneer cubes and mix it. Stuffing is ready. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool down to room temperature.

Once the fillings cool down, we will start stuffing it in the parcel. Take a ball and roll it into a small roti or puree. Apply some water at the edges and roll from three sides towards the centre to make a triangular shape roti. Place small amount of Mozzarella Cheese or Processed Cheese at the centre. Over it place the stuffing and at last place the Cheese slice over the stuffing. Do not overload the parcel with fillings or else it will spill out while baking. Apply some water at the three corners of the triangular shape roti. Seal the fillings by bringing the three corners together at the top of the fillings. Seal it properly by pressing it. In the same manner prepare the parcel for the remaining balls.

Now take the pizza tray and grease it with Ghee or Butter. Sprinkle some maida over it. You can place butter paper over the tray if you have. Place the stuffed Veg Zingy Parcel in the tray one by one. Now we will bake the Veg Zingy Parcel in a homemade baking setup or pre heated microwave oven. Here I will be using homemade baking setup. You can opt for microwave oven also.

To make homemade baking setup, take heavy base kadai and add Regular Salt into it. Place the baking stand over the salt. Cover the kadai and heat it over medium flame for about 15 minutes. Once the kadai heats up, open the lid and place the pizza tray over the stand. Cover it again and bake the bread for about 15-20 minutes over medium flame. After 15-20 minutes switch off the flame and take out the Veg Zingy Parcel from the kadai. Place it in a plate. Veg Zingy Parcel is ready to serve. Apply some butter over it. Sprinkle some Oregano and Mixed Herbs. Serve it hot with Tomato Ketchup or Mayonnaise or any type of dips and spread.

Equipments:

Ingredients:

For Activating Yeast:

  • 1 teaspoon Dry Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Warm Water/Warm Milk

For Veg Zingy Parcel Dough:

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mixed Herbs
  • 2 teaspoon Oil or Ghee
  • Salt as per taste

For Veg Zingy Parcel Stuffing:

  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese (or Processed Cheese)
  • 2 slices Cheese Slice
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped Garlic
  • 1 small Chopped Onion
  • 1 small Chopped Tomato
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped Capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon Sweet Corn
  • 100 gram Fresh Paneer
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mixed Herbs
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2-3 teaspoon Oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • Butter or Ghee for greasing

Instructions:

Preparation of Maida Dough:

  • First let us activate the Yeast. To activate the Yeast take Warm Water in a cup. Water should be warm and not hot or else the yeast might not get activated. You can also replace Water with Warm Milk.
  • Add a teaspoon of Sugar to the Warm Water and stir it to dissolve completely. Sugar is added to the water since it acts as a catalyst which activates the yeast.
  • Next add Dry Yeast and stir it to dissolve completely. Cover the cup and allow it to rest for about 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes you will see that the yeast gets activated with the formation of froths. If froths are not formed then it means that the yeast has not been activated. Do not use this yeast and try with another brand of yeast. Keep the activated Yeast aside.
  • Now take All Purpose Flour (Maida) in a large bowl.
  • To it add Garlic Powder, Oregano, Chilli Flakes, Mixed Herbs and Salt. Mix all the ingredients uniformly.
  • Next add the Activated Yeast to the mixture and mix it. Knead the mixture to prepare soft dough. If required you can add extra water while kneading.
  • Knead the mixture for about 5-10 minutes so that the dough becomes soft.
  • After 5-10 minutes, add Oil and knead the dough once again for few minutes.
  • Now cover the dough with a moist cloth and keep it in a warm place for about 1 to 1½ hours. During this time the dough becomes double in its size. Knead it again for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.

Preparation of Veg Zingy Parcel Filling:

  • Heat 2-3 teaspoon Oil in a kadai or pan over medium flame.
  • Once the Oil heats add Chopped Garlic into it and saute for few seconds.
  • Next add Chopped Onion and cook till the colour of the Onion changes to light golden in colour.
  • When the Onion becomes light golden in colour, add Chopped Tomato and Salt. Mix and cook till the tomatoes become soft and mushy.
  • Next add Red Chilli Powder and cook for few seconds more.
  • Now add Chopped Capsicum, Sweet Corn, Oregano, Mixed Herbs, Tomato Ketchup and Mayonnaise.
  • Mix all the ingredients and cook for few minutes. After few minutes add Fresh Paneer cubes to the stuffing mixture and mix it. Paneer Cubes should be smaller in size.
  • Once the Paneer cubes is mixed properly, switch off the flame and keep the stuffing aside. Allow it to cool down to room temperature.

Stuffing of Veg Zingy Parcel:

  • Take the dough and knead it for 2-3 minutes more.
  • Divide the dough into 4-5 equal parts and roll them to make balls.
  • Now sprinkle some Maida on the rolling board or in your kitchen shelf to roll the balls.
  • Place a ball on the rolling board and roll it into a small roti with the help of rolling pin.
  • Apply some water at the edges of the roti with the help of brush.
  • Fold the roti from three sides towards the centre and seal it. Roll it slightly with rolling pin to make a triangle shape roti.
  • Now we will stuff the Veg Zingy Parcel. Place small amount of Mozzarella Cheese or a mixture of Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese at the centre.
  • Over the Cheese place small amount of prepared filling. Also add thin Cheese slice at the top.
  • Now apply some water at the three corners of the roti. Use of Water helps in proper sealing of Veg Zingy Parcel.
  • Hold a corner and fold it towards the centre covering the stuffing. Leave it at the centre by slightly pressing it.
  • Take the second corner and fold it in similar manner placing it above the first corner. Press it slightly to seal it.
  • Similarly take the last corner and seal the stuffing by placing it over the second corner. Press the corners slightly so that Veg Zingy Parcel is properly sealed.
  • The stuffing must be sealed properly so that the stuffing does not come out while baking. If required you can use extra water to seal it.
  • In the same manner, stuff the filling in the remaining balls following the steps 4-12 as mentioned above. Take a pizza tray or baking tray and grease it with Butter or Ghee. Sprinkle some maida over it. Place all the stuffed Veg Zingy Parcel in the tray.
  • Apply some milk over the stuffed Veg Zingy Parcel with the help of brush. Use of milk on the surface of the Veg Parcel gives a nice colour to it on baking. Also sprinkle some Oregano and Mixed Herbs on top of the parcel.

Preparation of Veg Zingy Parcel:

  • Let us first prepare the baking setup. Take the heavy base kadai and add Regular Salt to it.
  • Place a tray stand over the Salt. Switch on the flame and place the kadai over the stove.
  • Cover the kadai and preheat over medium flame for about 15 minutes. This is the setup for baking the Veg Zingy Parcel. You can bake it in pre heated microwave oven also.
  • After 15 minutes open the lid of the kadai and with the help of cloth or tong place the tray with Veg Zingy Parcel over the stand.
  • Cover the kadai again and allow the Veg Parcel to bake for about 15 minutes over medium heat. If you are preparing the Veg Parcel in microwave oven, bake the parcel at 180 degree Celsius for about 15 minutes in a pre-heated oven.

  • After 15 minutes, switch off the flame. Open the lid and take out the tray from the kadai using tong or by using kitchen gloves. Use of gloves helps in avoiding any burn in our hands.

  • Transfer the Veg Zingy Parcel in a separate plate and apply some butter over the bread. Sprinkle some Chilli Flakes, Oregano and Mixed Herbs over it.

  • Delicious, soft and tasty Veg Zingy Parcel is ready to serve. Serve it hot with Tomato Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Schezwan chutney or anything of your choice.

Notes:

  1. Yeast is the most important ingredient for preparing Veg Zingy Parcel. It is necessary for the yeast to get activated. If the yeast does not get activated with the formation of bubbles and froths, do not use it. Try with different brand of yeast.
  2. To activate the Dry Yeast, take luke Warm Water or Milk to dissolve the Sugar and Yeast. Cover the mixture for about 15 minutes to activate the Yeast. The water should not be too hot or else the yeast will not get activated. Addition of Sugar helps in activating the yeast as it act as a catalyst.
  3. Adjust the amount of Garlic Powder in the dough as per your requirement and love for Garlic flavor. Also add Seasoning such as Oregano and Mixed Herbs as per requirement. You can vary it as it adds extra flavour to the Veg Parcel.
  4. After kneading the dough, allow it to rest for about 1 hour. It helps us to prepare soft Veg Zingy Parcel.
  5. While stuffing the Veg Parcel use limited amount of Mozzarella Cheese or Processed Cheese. Do not use much cheese or else it might spill out of the parcel while baking.
  6. Here we have used Paneer, Capsicum and Sweet Corns for stuffing. You can also use any other type of veggies as per your choice.
  7. After stuffing, we have applied Milk over the Veg Parcel. It helps in giving a nice colour to the parcel on baking.
  8. Here we have baked the Veg Zingy Parcel in a heavy base kadai. If you are using microwave oven to bake the Veg Parcel, then bake for 15 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
  9. Do not over bake the parcel or else it will burn from below and will become hard. It will loose its softness. 15 minutes of baking over medium heat is enough.
  10. For baking the Veg Zingy Parcel, use Aluminium Plate or Iron Plate or Pizza Plate.
