Sandwich is one of the healthiest and delicious breakfasts in our diet. It is easy and quick to make and does not require any expertise. It can be made without much effort. All we need is bread slice, mashed potato and few spices. It can be prepared from White Bread or from Brown Bread. Brown Bread is healthier than White Bread, so we must prefer it over white bread. It can be served in breakfast or snacks. The taste of Potato Sandwich depends on how well the potato filling is prepared. The potato filling is prepared with different flavorful ingredients such as Onion, Tomato, Coriander Leaves, Chaat Masala, Lemon Juice and few spices. The potato stuffing is lined in between two bread slices and is toasted on a tava to make a crunchy and crispy sandwich.
The sandwich can be grilled on tava if you do not have electric sandwich maker. Here I have grilled on tava to make spicy and crunchy sandwiches. It can be served hot with Green Chutney or Tomato Ketchup along with hot tea.

Potato Sandwich/Aloo Masala Sandwich/How to make Potato Sandwich
Ingredients:
For Stuffing:
- 2 medium Boiled Potato
- 1 medium Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 medium Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 2 medium Finely Chopped Chilli
- 1 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
- 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- Salt to Taste
Other Ingredients:
- 10 slice Bread
- 5 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tablespoon Ghee/ Butter
Instructions:
Preparing Potato Stuffing:
- Take the boiled potatoes in a bowl. Mash it.
- Add Chopped Onion, Chopped Tomato, Chopped Chilli and Coriander Leaves. Mix it properly.
- Add Black Pepper, Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Chaat Masala, Lemon Juice and Salt. Mix it. Keep it aside.
Stuffing Potato Sandwich:
- Take all the bread slices. Apply Tomato Ketchup over the slices with the help of spoon. You can use Chilli Ketchup or Green Chutney instead of Tomato Ketchup.
- Take one slice of the bread. Put a portion of the Potato Stuffing over it. Spread it evenly over whole bread.
- Cover it with another slice of bread. Press it firmly.
- Follow the process for all the bread slices. Keep it aside.
Preparing Potato Sandwich:
- Heat 1 teaspoon butter on a pan over medium flame.
- Place the prepared sandwich over the butter. Cook till it become golden brown and crispy.
- Turn the other side and again cook till it become crispy.
- Repeat the above steps for all the prepared sandwiches.
- Tasty and delicious Potato Sandwich is ready. Serve it with tomato ketchup or Green Chutney.
Notes:
- Aamchur Powder can be replaced by Lemon Juice.
- The stuffing prepared can also be fried in oil and then filled in between the bread slice.
- Chilli Ketchup or Green Chutney can be used for spreading instead of Tomato Ketchup if one does not like sweetness in sandwich.
- Butter or ghee should be used as per one liking. Less amount should be used if someone does not love oil or ghee in their meal.
- We can use both Tomato and Chilli Ketchup for spreading over the bread slice. Apply Chilli Ketchup over one slice and Tomato Ketchup over other. It will give a mix taste.
