Banana Shake/How to Make Banana Milkshake

Banana Shake or Banana Milkshake is a healthy, smooth and creamy shake prepared from Ripe Bananas, Rich Creamy Milk and Vanilla Ice Cream. It requires very few ingredients and is quick to prepare. Banana Shake has a great health benefits and can be had with breakfast. It helps in gaining weight. Banana has rich fibre content and is beneficial for preventing many diseases. On the other side Milk provides calcium which is beneficial for bones.

Banana Shake has three main ingredients, Banana, Milk and Ice Cream. Here we will be using Vanilla Ice cream. If you want you can replace the Vanilla Ice cream with Vanilla extracts or Vanilla Powder. The taste doesn’t differ with the change in ingredients. The thickness of the shake is also very important as it decides the taste of it. If you want to make the shake thicker then add less milk. For shake to be less thick add more milk.

Banana Shake tastes best when it is served chilled. After blending the bananas, transfer it to a glass and keep it in refrigerator. When it gets chilled, serve it by garnishing with dry fruits. Milk is the most important ingredient to prepare Banana Shake. The choice of milk totally depends on you as to which milk you prefer. There are a number of options such as Coconut Milk, Soya Milk, Almond Milk or any other type of milk. You can choose any of them. Health conscious people generally skip cow milk and prefer other types of milk. But here I will be using Full Cream Milk. The procedure is same for all types of milk.

To prepare Banana Shake, take the Ripe Bananas along with Milk and Ice Cream in a blender or a mixer grinder jar. Then add required amount of Sugar into it. Close the lid of the jar and blend it for few minutes till the shake becomes smooth. Banana Shake or Banana Milkshake is ready. Transfer it to a glass. Add a scoop of Ice cream over the shake. Garnish with Tutty Fruity and Chopped Dry Fruits before serving.  Add sugar as per requirement as banana already has sweetness in it. You can also replace the Ice cream with whipped Cream.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Ripe Banana
  • 3 cup Chilled Milk
  • 4 teaspoon Sugar
  • 8 scoops Vanilla Ice-cream
  • 2 tablespoon Tutty Fruity: 2 tablespoon
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped Dry Fruits

Instructions:

  • Take the Bananas and peel out the skin.
  • Slice them into small pieces and put them into the blender or a large mixer grinder jar.
  • Add the Chilled Milk, Sugar and Vanilla Ice cream to the sliced bananas in the blender.
  • Blend it until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Add more milk if the shake becomes thicker. If it is thin add more sliced banana into it and then again blend it.
  • Banana Shake is ready to be served. Chill it in freezer before serving it.
  • Pour the shake into a glass. Add a scoop of Vanilla Ice cream over the shake.

Notes:

1. To prepare Banana Shake, we can use Coconut Milk or Soya Milk or Almond Milk or any other milk.
2. Vanilla Ice cream can be replaced with Vanilla Powder or Vanilla extracts. Add more milk if you are using vanilla powder.
3. Adjust the quantity of Sugar as per requirement of sweetness in the milkshake.
4. You can use any type of dry fruits such as cashews, almonds, raisins, etc.
5. For a better taste of the Banana Shake, chill it in the freezer before serving. Do not keep it for a linger duration since the taste can change.
