Notes:

  1. To make Vegetable Besan Chilla, you can also add vegetables such as Grated Carrot, Capsicum, Spinach, etc. Select as per your choice.
  2. For preparing Plain Chilla Recipe, we have skipped vegetables such as Onion, Tomatoes, Chilli and Coriander Leaves. If you want you can add one or two vegetables according to your preferences. Plain Cheela is most suitable when you do not have time to chop different ingredients.
  3. Add Black Pepper and Green Chilli as per your choice of spiciness. You can replace Black Pepper with Red Chilli Powder also.
  4. The consistency of the batter should be proper. It should neither be too thin nor too thick. If the batter becomes thin then add extra amount of besan. If it is thick then add more water to it.
  5. While preparing the Chilla, do keep in mind that the tawa should not be too hot or else it will burn the bottom layer and will not get cooked properly. Also if it is too hot then the batter will stick to the bottom and it will be difficult to spread the batter.
