Fried Coconut Bread Toast

We regularly have bread toast with tea and coffee, which is neither sweet nor salty and is simply prepared by toasting the bread. Today we will be preparing sweet toast by wrapping the fried bread toast with grated coconut. Here we have deep fried the bread slice in oil and wrapped in coconut powder. It is very simple to prepare and takes very less time. So let’s start preparing tasty and mouthwatering Coconut Bread Toast.

Ingredients:

  • 5 piece Bread Slice
  • 100 gm Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 cloves Cardamom
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Oil to fry

Instructions:

  • First of all we will prepare sugar syrup. Heat 1 cup of water in a pan.
  • Add the sugar and cardamom cloves in the boiled water. Boil the mixture until the syrup attains the right consistency.
  • When the sugar syrup boils to right consistency, switch off the stove.
  • Heat oil in another pan.
  • Cut the bread slice into four equal parts. Put the bread into the oil and deep fry it until golden brown. In the same way fry all the sliced bread.
  • Put the fried breads in tissue paper to soak the excess oil.
  • Dip the fried bread in the sugar syrup for 1-2 minutes.
  • Take out the bread from the sugar syrup and roll it in the grated coconut. Roll it properly in the coconut so that it is completely wrapped with it. Wrap all the bread slice in the same way.
  • Coconut Bread toast is ready to be served.

Notes:

  1. Dip the toast in the sugar syrup as per your requirement. If you want the toast to be less sweet, dip it and take it out of the syrup after few seconds. If you want it to be sweeter, keep the toast dipped in the syrup for a longer time.
  2. The sweetness of the syrup also depends on the quantity of the sugar. Add as per your need.
  3. Adding of cardamom to the sugar syrup gives a different flavor. If you don’t like the flavor of cardamom you can skip it.
