There are different types of Bread Toast that you can prepare at home. I have already shared Rava Bread Toast and Rava Cheese Toast. I will share more toast recipes in my coming posts. Today I am going to share the recipe of bread toast where I will be using Gram Flour to prepare the batter. Along with Gram Flour, I will also be using tomatoes, onion and few spices. If you want you can also use veggies such as Capsicum, Carrot and Sweet Corn.
To prepare Besan Bread Toast, take the Gram Flour along with spices such as Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Black Pepper, Asafoetida and Salt. Add Water and make a smooth paste. Then add the vegetables and mix them to prepare the batter. Dip the bread slice and coat it with the batter. Toast the bread with butter in a tawa. Cook it under low flame so that it gets properly cooked and becomes crispy. Serve Besan Bread Toast with Tomato Ketchup or Green Chutney.
There are few tips that I am sharing so that you can follow it and prepare tasty and delicious Besan Bread Toast.
- While cooking, toast the bread under low flame so that the Gram Flour (Besan) is properly cooked. If the besan remains raw, the taste will not come out good.
- To make the Besan Bread Toast crispy, you can add Rice Flour or Corn Flour while preparing the batter.
- The consistency of the besan batter should be such that when you dip the bread slices into it, it is able to hold the batter along with veggies. It should neither be thick nor thin. If the batter is tight or thick, add little amount of water and mix it. If the batter becomes thin, add slight amount of besan and then mix it.
- To make the toast spicy you can add extra amount of Red Chilli Powder and Black Pepper Powder.
