Rava Cheese Bread Toast or Sooji Cheese Bread Toast is a breakfast and snack recipe that can be made in very quick time. Rava Cheese Bread Toast is a very delicious and tasty snack which you can prepare at your home very easily. You just need to prepare the stuffing of few vegetables and wrap one side of the bread slice with it and quickly toast in a tawa. It is very easy and quick since it requires very less ingredients to prepare.

It is one of the favourite breakfast recipes for office going people. Since most of the working people have very less time to prepare breakfast in the morning, they prefer to prepare this kind of recipe. It involves very less time to prepare and also it is healthy and hygienic. I have shared Sooji Bread Toast in my earlier posts where we have prepared it by topping mixture of Sooji and veggies over bread slice and then roasting it in tawa. Today we will give a slight twist and use Cheese slice along with the stuffing of Sooji and vegetables.

Sooji and veggies gives the Bread Toast a wonderful aroma and flavor. Apart from this, if you also add Cheese to it, it will increase its flavor. To prepare Rava Cheese Bread Toast, place a slice of cheese over the bread slice. Then take the required amount of stuffing and place it over the Cheese Slice. Cover the cheese slice completely with the stuffing. Next roast the stuffed bread slice in tawa with butter or ghee. Cheesy and Juicy Rava Cheese Bread Toast is ready.

To prepare Rava or Sooji Cheese Bread Toast, we can use white bread. You can also use Brown Bread, Multi Grain Bread or Whole Wheat Bread. The stuffing of sooji and veggies should be applied on only one side of the bread slice so that the real taste of the toast can be maintained. The other side of the bread should be roasted by applying ghee or butter over it.

Sooji (Semolina), Curd and Vegetables are the main ingredients that we require to prepare Rava Cheese Bread Toast. Sooji adds crispiness to the toast. Curd makes the toast tangy. Chilli Powder makes the Bread Toast spicy. You can use vegetables as per your choice. Here I will be using vegetables such as Tomato, Onion and Coriander Leaves. You can also add Capsicum, Corns, Carrot, etc. if you want to. To give a different twist to the toast you can also add grated cheese to the stuffing.

Rava Cheese Bread Toast/Sooji Cheese Bread Toast

Sooji Cheese Bread Toast or Rava Cheese Bread Toast is prepared by spreading vegetable stuffing over bread slices with Cheese slice between them and then toasting it with butter or ghee in a tawa. Vegetables can be used as per your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 slices Bread
  • 10-12 slices Cheese
  • 1 cup Sooji (Semolina) ( or 200 gm)
  • 1 big Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 big Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Curd (Yoghurt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Butter or Ghee for toasting
  • Water

Instructions:

  • In a large bowl take all the ingredients such as Sooji, Curd, Finely Chopped Onion, Finely Chopped Tomato, Chopped Coriander Leaves, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder and Salt.
  • With the help of a large spoon or spatula, mix all the ingredients uniformly to prepare the stuffing.
  • The stuffing will be thick initially. Add Water to the stuffing as required to make it thinner.
  • The quantity of water should be added keeping in mind that the semolina will expand absorbing the water. If the stuffing is found to be tight later on, you can add water to make it thinner.
  • The stuffing is ready. Keep it aside for 10 minutes so that semolina size increases by absorbing water.
  • Now we will use the stuffing to prepare Rava Cheese Bread Toast. Take a slice of bread, place a Cheese slice over it.
  • With the help of spoon, place the stuffing over the cheese slice and spread it evenly throughout the bread slice.
  • In the same manner, prepare the bread toast for the remaining bread pieces.
  • Heat tawa over medium heat. Apply butter or ghee over the tawa.
  • Place the stuffed bread slice over the butter with the stuffed side placed facing downward.
  • Toast the bread by pressing with a spatula. After some time turn the side of the bread and cook the other side.
  • Apply butter on the side also. Toast the bread till it turns golden brown and becomes crispy.
  • Toast the bread over low heat so that the bread toast becomes crispier.
  • Rava Cheese Bread Toast is ready to be served. Serve it hot with your favourite chutney.

Notes:

  1. Rava Cheese Bread Toast can also be prepared by cutting the edges of the bread slices.
  2. Rava Cheese Bread Toast can also be prepared without the use of Cheese slice.
  3. Vegetables can be added as per one’s choice. You can add vegetables such as carrot, capsicum, corns, cabbage etc.
  4. Water should be added as per requirement because Sooji absorbs water. Also you must be careful that the mixture does not become too thick nor too thin.
  5. You can use any of the bread from White Bread or Brown Bread or Multi Grain Bread. The change in the bread doesn’t affect the taste
