Bread Curd Roll/ Dahi Bread Roll/ Bread Curd Fire Roll

Bread Curd Roll is prepared by deep frying curd stuffed Bread Rolls. The stuffing is made by mixing Curd, Paneer, various vegetables and spices. It is then rolled in bread sheets to make Bread Curd Roll.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices White Bread
  • 100 grams Grated Paneer
  • 1 cup Hung Curd (Yoghurt)
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Capsicum
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Carrot
  • 3 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Maida
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • Salt to Taste
  • Oil for Deep Frying

Instructions

  • To prepare the stuffing take a large bowl and add Curd into it. Add Paneer into it by grating it.
  • Then add Grated Paneer, Chopped Onion, Chopped Capsicum, Chopped Carrot, Coriander Leaves, Black Pepper Powder and Salt. Mix all the ingredients properly. Keep it aside.
  • Take 1 tablespoon Maida and 1 tablespoon Water in a bowl. Mix it to make maida liquid paste. There should not be any lumps in it. It is used for sticking the bread slice.
  • Take the Bread Slices and cut the edges from all sides.
  • Take a Bread Slice and sprinkle some water over it. With the help of Rolling pin, roll the slice to make thin sheet.
  • Roll the bread slice from both sides. If required you can sprinkle some more water and then again roll it. In the same manner roll all the slices.
  • Take a sheet of bread. Place small amount of stuffing on one side of the slice. The edges must be left empty.
  • Apply some maida paste at the edges. Pick the side of the bread where the stuffing is kept and roll it.
  • Stick the edges of the slice by pressing with our fingers so that the stuffing is completely packed. Prepare the roll for remaining bread slices.
  • Heat Oil in a Kadai over medium heat. Place the stuffed roll into the oil and deep fry it till it becomes light golden brown.
  • Take it out and place it over tissue paper so that it absorbs excess oil. Prepare all the rolls.
  • Bread Curd Roll is ready. Serve Bread Curd Roll instantly with Tomato Ketchup or Green Chutney.

Notes

  1. While making the rolls, the stuffing must be sealed properly so that it does not spill out while frying.
  2. You can use vegetables as per your choice. You can also use Corns, Cabbage, Tomato, Mushroom, French Beans, etc.
  3. To make Hung Curd, take a cloth and wash it. Place the curd in it and strain the water from it. Hang it for 15 minutes so that all the water comes out.
  4. The edges of the bread can be used to make Bread Crumbs.
