Take the Rice in a bowl and wash it by rinsing it with water for 2-3 times.
Soak the Rice in water for at least 10 minutes.
In the meantime remove the Peas from its outer layer and keep in a separate bowl. Also chop the Methi Leaves and keep in a bowl.
After 10 minutes drain the Rice and keep it aside.
Now heat 3 tablespoon Cooking Oil in pressure cooker over medium heat.
Add Cumin Seeds and allow it to splutter.
When the spluttering stops, add Chopped Onion and fry it till it changes its colour to golden.
Next add the Ginger Garlic Paste. Saute till the raw smell goes off.
Add the Chopped Tomatoes and Salt. Cook the Tomatoes by covering with lid till it becomes soft and mushy.
Now add the fresh Green Peas and Finely Chopped Methi Leaves. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the spices such as Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder and Garam Masala.
Add small amount of Water and mix all the spices with Peas and Methi Leaves. Saute till the spices are well cooked.
Next add the soaked Rice into the cooked spices. Mix the Rice properly with spices and cook for a minute.
At last add the required amount of Water into the cooker. Mix it and cover the cooker with the lid.
Over medium heat cook the Rice for 2 whistles. After 2 whistles, switch off the stove and allow the pressure to come down by itself.
When the pressure is completely released, take out the rice in a plate. Serve with Chutney or Pickle along with Raita.
