Grilled Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich is very easy and quick to make. Butter is applied on the surface of the breads, stuffing is filled in between them and then grilled on tawa or sandwich maker by applying butter on the outer surface of the bread till it become crispy and golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 10 slice Bread: 10 slice
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 cup Veg Mayonnaise
  • 3 medium Boiled Mashed Potato
  • 2 tablespoon Grated Carrot
  • 2 tablespoon Finely Chopped Capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon Sweet Corn
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Tomato
  • 1 teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
  • 2 teaspoon Origano
  • Salt to Taste

Instructions

Preparing Mayonnaise Stuffing:

  • Peel off the outer layer of the boiled potatoes. Mash it so that no lumps are left behind.
  • Take the mashed potatoes in a large bowl. Add Chopped Capsicum, Chopped Tomato, Grated Carrot and Sweet Corns. Mix them.
  • Add Veg Mayonnaise to the mixture. Mix all the ingredients so that mayonnaise is evenly spread. For better consistency add mayonnaise little by little.

Stuffing Mayonnaise Sandwich:

  • Take all the bread slices. Apply butter over the slices with the help of spoon.
  • Take a slice of the bread over the chopping board. Sprinkle small amount of Roasted Cumin Powder, Salt, Chilli Flakes, Black Pepper and Oregano over the bread slice.
  • Now take small amount of Mayonnaise Stuffing and place over the bread slice. Spread it evenly all over whole bread.
  • Again sprinkle Roasted Cumin Powder, Salt, Chilli Flakes, Black Pepper and Oregano over the stuffing.
  • Close the stuffing with another slice of bread. Press it firmly and keep it aside.
  • Stuff the remaining bread slice in the same way and keep it aside.

Preparing Grilled Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich:

  • Heat pan or tawa over medium flame.
  • Place 1 teaspoon butter and allow it to melt.
  • Place the prepared sandwich over the butter so that butter spread to all parts of the bread.
  • Cook till it become golden brown and crispy.
  • Turn the other side and again cook till it become brown and crispy. Apply butter over the bread if required.
  • When both the sides become golden brown and crispy, take it out of the pan and place it on the plate.
  • In the similar manner, prepare the remaining sandwich.
  • Tasty and delicious Grilled Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich is ready. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or Green Chutney.
  • This task of grilling sandwich becomes easier if you are using sandwich maker since it has an automatic timer. Simply apply butter on both the sides and place it over the sandwich maker and grill it.

Notes

  1. Capsicum can be used for all the variants such as Green Capsicum, Red Capsicum and Yellow Capsicum.
  2. Fresh or Dried Herbs is used to prepare the sandwich. I have used Oregano. It can be replaced with other herbs such as basil, rosemary or Coriander Leaves. Instead of using the ingredients separately, we can use Pasta or Pizza seasoning.
  3. Cheese can also be added while preparing stuffing. It makes the sandwich tastier.
  4. Mayonnaise should be added as required. Consistency of the stuffing should be maintained so that it does not come out of the bread slices.
  5. The quantity of seasoning ingredients can be varied as per one’s liking. Oregano and Chilli Flakes can be increased for tasty and spicy Mayonnaise Sandwich.
