ndians love spicy food, and to add spiciness to their meal, chutney is one of them. There are number of chutney to prepare and add to your meal. Coriander Chutney is one of them. Coriander Tomato Chutney, as the name suggests, is prepared from Coriander leaves and tomatoes and is very simple and easy to prepare. It can be served with Pakodas, Samosa, Kachori, Chaat, Tikki, Sandwich, Burgers, etc.

250gmChopped Coriander Leaves
2pieceChopped Tomatoes
3pieceChopped Green Chillies
1teaspoonCumin Seeds
1teaspoonChopped Ginger
8-10piecesGarlic Cloves
2tablespoonLemon JuiceOptional
1teaspoonMustard OilOptional

Instructions
Take the coriander leaves and chop it into small pieces by removing the thick stems.
Wash the coriander leaves 2-3 times in water to take out the dirt from it. Leave the leaves in water for some time, so that the dirt settles down. When the dirt settles down, take out the leaves without disturbing the water.
Now chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
Take the coriander leaves and tomato along with other ingredients in the mixer grinder jar and grind it into a smooth paste. Add water if required.
Coriander Tomato Chutney is ready to be served. Serve it with your favourite snacks.
Notes
To add more taste to the chutney, onion can be added to it. But remember that if you add onion, the chutney cannot be kept fresh for more days. To keep it fresh for longer time, skip the onion.
Instead of using whole Jeera seeds, we can also use the roasted cumin powder. The powder is prepared by roasting the cumin seeds in tawa and then grinding it to make a smooth powder.
Mustard Oil is optional and you can use it if you wish. In the above process I have used the mustard oil.
Lemon Juice can be added to the chutney after making the paste of it. It is also optional since we are already using tomatoes in the chutney.
If required you can add water to the chutney to bring the right consistency.
